The Oceanographic Institute of Monaco is a private foundation of recognised public utility, founded in 1906. It upholds and shares its mission of “knowing, loving and protecting the oceans”, following the wish of its founder, Prince Albert I of Monaco.
Combining craftsmanship and concern for artistic creativity, Daum works highlight the expertise of master glassmakers. The molten crystal bends to their will, where shapes and colors compete audacity.
The crystal is melted at 1450 ° C, it is in the hell of the oven that begins the first phase of the adventure. The Lorraine tradition of glassmakers is a wonderful image. The crystal bakes in the oven, no impurity is accepted.
