In 1925 René LALIQUE created his first car hood to decorate the finest cars of the era. From this date onwards, the “27 famous car mascots” were born, exquisite sculptures in glass, inspired by naturalism, which are highly sought-after today by the most dedicated art collectors.

In 1928 René LALIQUE wished to pay tribute to the French aviator Maryse Bastié and succeeded in doing so by creating the symbolic “Swallow”. In 2018, Lalique declines this iconic object in grey and gold luster finish.
