ADDITIONNAL INFORMATIONS
Discover Or d’Abeille centerpiece Daum.
In Daum’s poetic universe, each color tells a story. Today, the House unveils its 49th shade: Or d’Abeille (Bee Gold), a unique creation inspired by the journey of the bee and the magic of pollination.
This singular tone, the result of a subtle blend of brown amber, light amber, and sunny yellow, evokes the warmth of honey and the radiance of foraged flowers, enhanced by nuances of violet and brilliant white.
L’abeille, muse éternelle de Daum
An expression of rare craftsmanship, Or d’Abeille embodies Daum’s art of pigment fusion, where each piece breathes, evolves, and captures light in a ballet of transparencies. More than a color, it is an ode to nature, a living work that celebrates the union of crystal and life.
For over a century, the bee has been a recurring motif in the history of the House of Daum, inspiring sensitive and naturalistic works. As early as 1900, it took shape in a plaster cast by Amalric Walter, a paperweight in pâte de verre, and then blossomed on chiseled, enameled, or frosted vases adorned with delicate motifs of flowers and bees.
A symbol of harmony between flora and fauna, the bee has endured through the ages, reappearing in 1950 on a collector’s plate where the honeycomb pattern evokes the nest. Today, Daum celebrates this icon with a contemporary collection, where the bee, adorned with gold and light, reigns at the heart of crystal.
