ADDITIONNAL INFORMATIONS

SUGAR SITTING DOG LALIQUE :

SUGAR SITTING DOG LALIQUE, René Lalique, creator of the modern jewel, creative genius of Art Nouveau, has marked the history of the decorative arts of the twentieth century. From Art Nouveau to Art Deco, the artist innovates in these two artistic trends. Everything starts in 1909 near Paris. The first Lalique glassworks is in full swing, producing splendid bottles for the Parisian perfumer Coty.

After the Second World War, René Lalique decided to expand his production. He chose the north of Alsace, land of glass tradition, combining raw materials and climate conducive to the manufacture of crystal. The Lalique factory was born in 1921. The glass factory of the past is today an industrial factory, famous all around the world.

Lalique crystal glass, a mixture of satin and translucent crystal, the works and the spirit of René Lalique continue to live through the new collections. The entire crystal is handcrafted in the factory. There are nearly 250 craftsmen working tirelessly, including several Best Workers of France.
