The artist Patrick Rougereau, known for his visual poetry and his boundless creativity, has imagined a remarkable work: the Punky Fish. Rougereau describes the Punky Fish as a surreal encounter between fish and bird, giving birth to a creature straight out of a dream. Initially captured in the lens of his camera, the artist quickly felt the need to give a new dimension to this vision, to take it out of its flat frame and invite it into the three-dimensional world.
The transition from photography to sculpture represents a profound emotional transformation for Rougereau. He expresses a desire to restore this dream creature to its original shapes and volumes, thus allowing it to rise to the heavens or swim in turquoise waters.
