The world-famous and wondrous blossoming of Japanese cherry trees inspired the design of this masterpiece of interior decoration. Illuminated with gold and highlighted with enamel, applied by hand, cherry blossoms symbolize the ephemeral character of beauty and life, inviting one to marvel at the present moment. In a numbered edition in clear or limited edition of 88 pieces (lucky number in Asia) for the amber version, this vase captures the ornamental power of this iconic flower.

ADDITIONNAL INFORMATIONS

Discover Fleurs de cerisier vase Lalique, an numbered and limited edition of 28 copies.

Discover the secret of fleurs de cerisier vase Lalique :

  • Gold-stamped crystal : Liquid gold is stamped by hand. The piece must be annealed at 510°C overnight in order for the gold to stay in place. This phase is critical because the gold must be heated to stick to the crystal. However the crystal should not suffer any deformation otherwise the piece will be discarded.
  • Enamelling : Enamelling is a fusion technique between 2 materials : enamel + crystal. To emphasise the flower pattern, the pistils are covered with black or white enamel applied by hand. The enamel is a particularly liquid material that reveals itself when put in the furnace. The delicate process of placing the enamel with a syringe is very precise and requires long hours of meticulous work. The piece then goes to the furnace at 510°c for one night.
