Yves Trucchi is a unusual explorer of the seabed. Is he a scientist or an adventurer ? Nobody knows, but what is certain is that he captures the sea and incorporates dozens of small multicolored fish. He is a glass artist who shapes his material by using a highly personal technique. With cold-applied collages of various sizes of glass, engraved and painted with minute underwater fauna, he creates effects of depth and movement, the mysterious environment of a lagoon surrounded by cliffs. His dreams interpreted in glass, with their marine reflections, transport us into an intimate and silent world, assuming the form of transparent aquariums or low tables that seem to plunge into profound depths.
Adopting a completely different style, Yves Trucchi also makes items out of an assembly of coloured and worked glass. Like the petals of aquatic flowers, these sculptures complete the work of this artist, who is completely in his element like a fish swimming in water.
