At the center of the flames, enamel is born; there, at the heart of the fire, colors congeal to transform an intuition into a mysterious and living work. Longwy is one of the great institutions of the art of living and French know-how.

Camouflage was born from my desire to mimic our two histories; from the historical and spiritual dimension, the angels and the dove, bursting with light.

Primary colors rub shoulders with gold to bring pop and sacred elements together. A story, an evocation more than a collaboration: a fusion between my creative gesture and the guardians of the sacred fire, the artisans of Longwy. Emblem of the art of reinvention.

ADDITIONNAL INFORMATIONS

Discover Camouflage cornet vase Planete JC Longue Vie Longwy.

Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, a multifaceted French designer and creator, established himself in 1968 as a pioneer of upcycling, transforming his boarding school blanket into a distinctive coat.

A visionary, he blended fashion, art, and history into a colorful pop poetry from the very beginning. In the 1970s and 1980s, he revolutionized knitwear at Iceberg, collaborated with Warhol, Haring, and Mapplethorpe, and adorned the catwalks with canvas-like dresses. He dressed TV angels, catwalk popes, and even the Sovereign Pontiff.

From the hip-hop scene to the Biennale des Antiquaires, his imagination bursts forth in frescoes, costumes, and installations. In 2024, he designed the liturgical vestments for the reopening of Notre-Dame. Castelbajac is the alchemy of the sacred and the profane, of play and gesture, of a total art.
